Sleep is SO important, and the bedroom is the last thing we see at night before closing our eyes. Let’s look at these dreamy Valspar colors for the bedroom.

Let’s start changing up the look of our bedrooms and rethink color placement. White does not have to be on the ceiling. How about that dreamy purple for the ceiling? I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see that as I was drifting off to sleep. My bedroom ceiling has an earth tone which is ok, but honestly, this purple would be way better!

Think of the night sky as you paint your bedroom with these starry hues. I suggested creamy beige for the trim because pure white would be too much of a contrast.

Healing colors; that’s what Decorating by Donna is all about. As the year comes to an end, I am going to pick my top four healing colors of the year, and they are from Valspar. How do I know that they are healing? Because I have them in my home, and they feel amazing.

Right off the bat, the top and bottom colors have a green undertone. In case you’re new to my blog, green is the heart chakra’s color and is a must-have in the home.

The top Valspar color is currently in my living, and since I have an open floor plan, it can be seen from several rooms of the home.

The second color is a bit deceiving, it shows here more as a gray, but it definitely has more green in it than is shown here. I have that color in my meditation room, one bedroom, and a bathroom.

The third color is my neutral. I don’t like white or anything close to it, it is just too harsh for color-sensitive people. I have that color in the neutral places in my home, such as the two-story foyer and all my hallways. 

The last color on the bottom is the closest I get to blue, I’m not a fan of blue because of how it feels to me. This color is a great combo of blue yet green enough for me to like. I have it in my guest room.

My home, as you can guess, feels and looks amazing and I designed it that way by putting the “feelings” first. Mostly everyone who visits my home says, “Your home feels so good!” which is an unusual thing to say when you visit someone’s home for the first time.

Who needs just color for their home? For 2023 I simplified Decorating by Donna and will offer these color palettes for sale. They will be the best color combinations I know that work well together. I  do the work of designing, so you don’t have to. 

Over the years, as you can see by my blog, I played around with oodles of designs, and it wasn’t until today that I finally found one that I LOVE. Most importantly, it’s unique. There is nothing worse than going to Pinterest for color inspiration and seeing the same graphics repeatedly.

Out of all the thousands of color palettes, I design one comes across that I really, really like it and this one is probably it. I talk about healing colors often. Connecting or knowing, the colors of our soul are important. When you look at a certain color palette, and you feel those butterflies in your belly, you’re viewing colors that are meant for you to see.

This color palette is very strong, and just looking at it gives me those belly butterflies. I feel a total chakra opening!

Yes, our chakras are always open but they are jolted with joy when I look at the grounding black to the spiritual purple. I’ve written about these colors so many times in this blog, and I’m hoping that, on some level, you can see a pattern here.

Every now and then, when you look outside, you see an image that captures your attention. The sun’s rays can be seen, the colors are soft, and most importantly, you are noticing this image for a reason. The reason is the colors are the right frequency that your mind, body, and spirit need, at that moment, to heal. 

I took the photo the weekend of my birthday as I was going for a very early morning walk. I spent the weekend in the mountains, healing, healing from the passing of my dad on June 16th. 

It’s important to let your mind release, your body relax, and your spirit be open to the new beginnings that are in store because, as we all know, there is no end, just a change in how our body lives.

It’s a big topic but as a HSP (hyper-sensitive person) and a psychic medium. I process death differently than most people. The healing process is probably the same, where we sit in our thoughts and emotions, feel them, and then in time, release them. The key here is to release in time, and that timeframe is whenever you feel you’re done processing.

I look at these colors and see the softness of the grays, which is odd for me because I don’t like gray of any kind, but these feel good to me. They are warm and comforting, like a fuzzy blanket on a cool day.

The green goes without saying; it’s my favorite hue and the heart chakra’s color. It is amazing how I’m drawn to certain colors based on what shape my chakras are in. My heart chakra is a little out of balance but definitely on its way to feeling good again.

I am so happy that these colors are being requested! It seems like there are so many people who need to heal from something, whether it’s losing a past loved one, having health issues, broken relationships, or just struggling in the home financially. Whatever the reason, there are colors that will help you feel better. I know this for a fact. 

A while back, I wrote a post about how to have a house of healing and it’s a really good place to start. 

I also posted about how some people are color sensitive. Color can have memory triggers, so it’s crucial to keep an eye out for those hues that will turn a house of healing into a house of horror.
